As work continues on Corner Lot’s Corner on Main multifamily development, the newest addition to the historic neighborhood of Springfield is showing its support by being the title sponsor for Jacksonville PorchFest 2024. This partnership will also continue into 2025.
“PorchFest is one of the premier community events in Jacksonville each year. My family and I really enjoy walking the streets of this grand, historic neighborhood, seeing all of the eclectic houses, and enjoying the awesome musical acts while sampling some of our favorite foods,” said Corner Lot CEO, Andy Allen. “There’s a reason why thousands of people come from all over Duval to enjoy this great gathering and we are pumped to be a part of it both through our financial support and our Corner on Main project. We appreciate Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR) for being amazing partners.”
Jacksonville PorchFest 2024 presented by Corner Lot’s Corner on Main returns to Historic Springfield for its 10th Anniversary on Saturday, November 9, 2024, and is a free, family- and dog-friendly music festival held on the beautiful front porches of the Historic Springfield community, just north of Downtown Jacksonville.
Proceeds from the festival support public arts in Jacksonville’s Urban Core. Since PorchFest began in 2014, proceeds have funded over a dozen public art installations including murals, sculptures, painted crosswalks, and more.
Corner Lot’s Corner on Main will occupy a parcel between 1st Street and 2nd Street at an intersection considered the gateway to Springfield. The new development will surround a circa 1928 art deco structure originally home to Jacksonville’s first Chevrolet dealership. Once complete, the mixed-use urban development will include 202 market-rate studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments and more than 6,000 square feet of commercial space to accommodate retail and a two-story restaurant with a rooftop option as a premier destination dining location. In addition, the project will include a fully-screened parking garage, two resort-style pools, a courtyard, and multiple amenity spaces. The transit-oriented development is also located on Jacksonville’s much-anticipated Emerald Trail and near Klutho Park.
The first residents are expected in January of 2025 with full completion in the Summer of 2025.
