The Corner on Main project will occupy a parcel between 1st Street and 2nd Street at an intersection widely considered the gateway to Springfield. The new development will surround a circa 1928 Art Deco structure originally home to Jacksonville’s first Chevrolet dealership. Once complete, the mixed-use urban development will include 202 market-rate studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, and more than 6,000 square feet of commercial space to accommodate retail or restaurant tenants. In addition, the project will include a 304-space parking garage fully hidden from street view, two resort-style pools, a courtyard, and multiple amenity spaces. The transited-oriented development is also located on Jacksonville’s much-anticipated Emerald Trail and nearby Klutho Park.
